Growing up in Anchorage, Alaska, basketball and music were a large part of my life. My Dad coached my brothers and sisters as well as myself. These are some of my earliest and fondest memories. My uncle, Coach Wilson owned and operated the largest basketball development program in Alaska. I have another uncle, “Muff Butler;” who was the first person from Alaska to enter the NBA draft.
I’ve been around sports my entire life!
When I began my yoga practice 14 years ago I always loved how yoga felt after completing an intense workout or a hard run. So, when I finally decided to get my 200 hr. certification, my love for the game was front and center in my mind.
After my 200 hr certification, I completed my “Yoga for Athletes Certification,” allowing me to bring my two loves (yoga and athletics) together.
I’ve long understood an athlete is essentially a masterpiece developed through a lifetime of building the body and mind to compete on the highest level.
I say it all of the time, “I don’t teach Yoga To Athletes! I teach Yoga FOR Athletes.”
Full time nanny and fitness enthusiast. I’ve been a yogi for going on 4 years and have enjoyed group fitness (more specifically spin/cycle) in the past. I started working with a personal trainer in January 2018 and the momentum from trying new workouts has exploded since then. I have a newfound love for boxing and branching out of my comfort zone. I’ve been blogging about my weight loss progess and I hope to inspire others through my journey & also sharing cute workout clothes along the way. Let’s get it!!!

Kelly grew up playing all sports, and went to Davidson College to play tennis. She played #1 singles/doubles all four years with her twin sister. She started running her junior year and helped Davidson to its first ever SOCON championship, and then did her final year of eligibility running for Duke, ranked #1 in the nation for cross country. Kelly could not swim, yet did her first triathlon with a couple of friends and was hooked. In her third IRONMAN, Kelly set the American Amateur Ironman Record & also finished on the podium in both of her IRONMAN World Championship appearances as an age grouper. Kelly now competes as a professional athlete and finished 2018 with three top 5 IRONMAN finishes (Austria, Chattanooga, Louisville.) Kelly is the owner of Fillnow Coaching, a coaching company based in Charlotte, NC, helping athletes reaching infinitely beyond what they dare to dream.
We are all on this journey of #selfLove. I hit my 30th birthday last May and I think something triggered. I have to step my game up in what I LOVE to do! I have a huge heart, if you ever want to get to know me or need a coffee date, sign me up. I was born in a small town in Texas and moved to Charlotte 6 years ago– woah! I love Charlotte and I think it has endless opportunities. Being in a family of care-givers and helpers, I have too, taken on that role. I love to sweat, get dirty, have fun and help others see their best version of themselves. From being an athlete, life guarding, swim instructor, nannying, group exercise, personal training, business manager and working in about 10 different businesses from college until now– I HAVE A LOT OF LIFE LESSONS TO CHAT ABOUT! I have grown so much and met so many amazing people who I hope to only continue to do so and impact everyone I meet. I love to feed off of others’ energy, which is why you’ll find me in the gym, fitness studio or an awesome class where I feel I can be most vulnerable. On the flip side, I love to also create- I have a very artistic/expression-ate side which is why I love to collaborate with others or help in our community. Newest project that is very present on my heart is #bossbabesclt (networking, mind/body/soul connection with female boss babes). I can’t wait to connect, collaborate and sweat with you!
A late-twenties gal who believes in being well-rounded, Alexandra moved to the Queen City in 2016 from the Northern Virginia area. After landing a job in 2017 that plans nationwide cyber security trainings, it is no surprise that she loves to “health hack” her way through travels but loves calling the QC home. Strictly gluten-free and in a complicated relationship with dairy, when Alexandra isn’t on the road, she is engaging in one of Charlotte’s incredible gyms, experimenting in the kitchen, reading, blogging, or enjoying a vodka Gimlet after the work week. But never all at the same time.
Some of my earliest memories are “sweating” –ballet classes at 2 years old…jazz, tap, ballet, modern, African, Persian dancing all through childhood and into college. During Public Health grad school in Michigan, I was seeking a new way to sweat, and that’s when I found barre at The Barre Code. I soon discovered strength and confidence I never knew I had both physically and mentally. I started instructing there and fell in love with group fitness and the class atmosphere. It also became apparent that fitness/food would be my avenue for fusing public health behavior change with my new found love of exercise instruction. After grad school, I moved to Charleston where I expanded my scope both personally and professionally to include personal training, functional fitness, athletic conditioning, and weightlifting. When my husband, a family medicine resident, and I moved to Charlotte this past summer, I knew I needed to find my fitness niche here. Sweat CLT was my first connection to the fitness community, and I have enjoyed exploring Charlotte’s sweaty scene ever since. Currently, I’m teaching at the Y, Queen’s College, and at the Belk Corporate Office–come check out my classes! Your booty will thank you.
I’m super passionate about boxing and fitness so I love being the owner at my gym called Rockbox fitness. It’s a gym where we box, kickbox, and use functional strength training to create an intense full-body.
I’m Anthony, your average-ish 25 year old who loves anything to do with fitness and food. I grew up in Greensboro but I’ve been living in Charlotte for almost seven years. I lived in NYC for 2 years and that’s where I found my passion for indoor cycling. I rode at SoulCycle for those 2 years, all while going broke and sacrificing my nutrition for a magical 45 minutes on a bike. Once I ran broke, I moved to Charlotte and started working at Orangetheory Fitness. I loved what the coaches were doing as far as motivating, making a community, and just having fun. I really wanted to be a coach, but found that I would love coaching indoor cycling instead. I’m now at CycleBar Midtown CLT and have been teaching in Charlotte for over two years now. I know I’m still a baby in the fitness scene, but I’m always looking for a chance to bring people together and to help them feel and look better.
You bring about what you think about.

Sometimes people ask me about my favorite workouts, and my immediate response is, “how much time do you have?” I love everything from pilates to HIIT, dance cardio to yoga, running to cycling and every single workout in between.
Grace Millsap is a lover of life, brain science geek, and passionate advocate for all forms of health, for all forms of people. Yoga found Grace, after years of body abuse from dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading; during a time of daily, almost chronic, pain. While physical well-being may have gotten Grace onto a mat for the first time, she kept coming back for the peace, clarity, and overall joy she gained from the practice. Although she has always been a teacher of sorts, she never dreamed she could call herself a “yoga teacher”, but after several serendipitous failed grad school admission attempts she decided to go for the training, although only for the educational aspects (nerd alert). After training, the fear to teach was even stronger, which became the driving force behind jumping into the yoga ocean, belly first but with both feet forward. Today, she offers dynamic classes in Charlotte, NC and on YogaVibes.com, leads retreats worldwide, teaches a wide variety of workshops, and is in awe that life can be this grand! Grace’s classes include the weaving of ancient tantric technology with a focus on breath and presence. Her spunky fire is guaranteed to uplift, support, and maybe even make you giggle as she masterfully guides you through creative sequences.
I come from a corporate background. I loved my job, Executive Assistant to the CEO and Assistant Director of Seminars. My life changed once I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2010. I could no longer work. I did not change my lifestyle right away. I went the usual route, depending solely on medicine to make my life bearable. It was not working. My sister sent me a book written by a doctor with MS. I read it, began following what she does, and it changed my life. Because of this, I want to help others better their lives through exercise and nutrition.
Rodolfo discovered yoga in 2014 while training with the Miami City Ballet School. Practicing yoga daily helped Rodolfo cope with the constant stresses and demands of being a ballet dancer. It has taught him how to embrace, trust, and send love to every part of himself. Rodolfo continued to practice yoga while dancing professionally with Ballet Austin and later decided to stop dancing and continue his passion for yoga, as well as his love for teaching. Rodolfo’s teaching is inspired by the idea that each time we step onto out mats, we are choosing the practice of creating space to slow down, turn inward, reconnect and explore. He combines alignment and flow to empower students to grow in their practice, inviting fluidity, strength and grace.
Moved to the USA in 2000, lived in Charlotte the whole time. Love the Queen City, trying to be involved in as many events as possible (that apply to my interests). Love seeing the city growing and adapting to positive changes.

I am an adventure enthusiast, with a deep passion for traveling, collecting moments and connecting people. I am always in search of new experiences to move my soul and expand my mind.I flow through the world to inspire you to live a life you love and settle for nothing less than extraordinary.
I take people on adventures, BIG and small, to get them out of their comfort zones and back in tune with their mind and body. I am here to make your experience one that you’ll never forget. My unique approach to outdoor adventure stems from my drive to conquer anything thrown at me, while living life with no regrets. I want every experience we share together to be out-of-this-world and beyond your wildest expectations. Whether it’s repelling down waterfalls in the Costa Rican jungle, running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, backpacking the Havasupai Trail, roasting marshmallows over Volcan de Pacaya’s fiery lava or capturing the sunrise at the 13,776 ft. tip of Machu Pichu … I constantly push myself and the boundaries of my craft to connect others to the magical world around me. I am a dot connector, diving into experiences head first to connect new people and places. Whether it’s a kind word, a big smile or a warm hug, my aim is to spark light in all of those around me.
I’ve traveled to over 35 countries, volunteering and adventuring, and am forever inspired by the idea that it is never too late to learn something new. I want to lead you to these life-changing places and inspire you to live a life you love and settle for nothing less than extraordinary. www.thetravelinggypsy.org

One day I decided to go for a run, and it changed my whole life. Having struggled with an eating disorder, anxiety, and depression, I found that running was exactly the outlet I needed to recover. Now I work to promote the goodness running can bring to each person’s life by writing about and sharing my story on my blog (www.runningmyselftogether.com
I grew up playing sports my whole life. Baseball, basketball and soccer through high school. The sports dreams ended after High School but I’ve continued to challenge myself since I left college in 2008. I’ve completed 4 Sprint Triathlons, 4 Spartan Races, 1 Crossfit Competition, 1 Half Marathon and 1 Full Marathon (barely). I love challenging myself in all facets of fitness. From outdoor yoga to bootcamps to training for my first marathon.
My greatest passion is helping others to pursue a happier, healthier life. With that, I have found myself back in school to pursue a second degree in Nursing. Over the last six years I have spent my time coaching CrossFit and other bootcamp-like classes. The most rewarding part of my work is watching other gain confidence in themselves as they obtain better body awareness and an overall understanding of just how powerful they truly are. I secretly love to write and I nerd out over nutrition and functional medicine. I believe that food is a powerful tool in preventing and curing most chronic diseases.
My name is Abi Ferro, and I am an Exercise Physiology major at UNC Charlotte. I believe fitness and nutrition is the most crucial part of humans (also the part we mess up the most), so I decided to study it. I am also Co-creator of Yungtribe, a Clean Juice brand that educates the youth in fitness. I love to dig around for all sorts of ground-breaking innovative technology/research in the health world, and almost always have my head in a book. My main forms of activity are yoga, Crossfit, reading, surfing when near water, and getting my hands on new projects. <3
Well…at least he’s good at photoshop.
